Dear members and friends of the UN Global Compact

On 30th April 2019, Geberit will host our 4th event of the Tour de Suisse on Responsible Business. You will also have the opportunity to view their premises prior the event.

 

Also please save the date for the 3rd Swiss Global Compact Dialogue and General Assembly taking place on 17th May 2019 in Thun. This year the 3rd Swiss Global Compact Dialogue will focus on the topic of anti-corruption.

Working Group on Sustainable Supply Chains

GCNS and öbu successfully launched their Working Group on Sustainable Supply Chains in February 2019 in Bern. The next event is scheduled for 2nd May 2019 with focus on Supply Chain risk analysis and sustainable procurement.

GCNS & Amaris Hackathon

Our member Amaris organized a two day event to develop an innovative tool to help our members connect to each other and collaborate to implement the SDGs. We thank Amaris for their efforts and look forward to the results.

SDG Pioneers Programme

Through the SDG Pioneers programme, the UN Global Compact aims to give young professionals aged 35 and under a platform, who are commited towards building a sustainable future. Many Local Networks are hosting country-level SDG Pioneers programmes this year to seek out young professionals locally who will then compete in a global round. 

If you as a company would like to engage in this programe, we are happy to help you out.

Commodity Trade sector guidance by the FDFA and SECO

The FDFA and SECO launched the first sector guidance for best practices in the respect of Human Rights specifically designed for commodity trading.
The Guidance is in conformity with the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights as well as related to the OECD Due Diligence Guidances.

European Sustainable Development Week from 30 May- 6 June 2019

You are cordially invited to take part in this initiative. It is a good opportunity to increase your environment's awareness about sustainable development and to familiarise it with the SDGs by planning activities.
