The UN Global Compact (UNGC) is a United Nations Organisation.

Its Local Swiss Network, the Global Compact Network Switzerland (GCNS) is a member-based association. As of 2018, all Swiss companies committing to the UNGC will automatically become member of the GCNS.

There are two types of memberships to the Global Compact Network Switzerland:

1. Regular business members

All UN Global Compact business members (participants, signatories, lead) are also regular members in the Global Compact Network Switzerland. They engage actively with the association and contribute with a full annual membership fee. They have a voting right in the association’s meetings and particularly in the General Assembly.

Annual fee: For details see Fee Structure UNGC / Beiträge UNGC

2. Non-business members

All non-business signatories to the UN Global Compact based in Switzerland become GCNS members.

Associate non-business members are individuals or organizations from civil society, academia or government with strong interest in the association’s work. They participate regularly in the association’s activities, are expected to contribute with a reduced membership fee only to the GCNS and don’t have a voting right. They receive regular information of the association and get invited for most of the activities and specific parts of the meetings.

Annual fee: CHF 500.- if more than 10 employees / CHF 250.- if less than 10 employees

Guests are partners and friends of the association invited for specific activities and respective parts of the meetings upon request and following approval of the Board.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us should you have any question regarding your membership. We will be delighted to discuss which membership type is the most appropriate for your needs and situation.
