Webinar Series on
Child Labour Due Diligence

The Federal Council promotes responsible business conduct within the framework of the National Action Plan (NAP) for Business and Human Rights and expects from Swiss companies to respect human rights and to prevent all forms of child exploitation in supply chains. To support companies in building their child labour due diligence process, SECO mandated in 2023 the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein to organize a webinar series.

Since 2023, the new child labour due diligence obligation needs to be applied in Switzerland. It requires Swiss companies to evaluate if their goods and services might be linked to child labour. If a risk is identified, companies need to trace back their supply chain, identify and manage risks of adverse impacts and report annually about the measures taken. The conducted webinar series adresses how to establish a solid child labour due diligence process within your company.

What you can expect from watching the four webinar recordings:

  • Introduction to the concept of child labour.

  • Step by step guidance on the due diligence process along the ILO/IOE child labour guidance tool for business, together with the corresponding UN Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights.

  • Insightful experts and speakers from international organisations, civil society, consultancy, academia and private sector.

  • Many practical tips and examples, companies case studies, criteria for success and good practices.
